[ARB ][Silent post][PHP] Possible reasons that prevent Authorize.net from generating a receipt.

Hello,

 

I  had recently converted a custom payment system (which uses the official Authnet PHP SDK) that connects with Authorize.net ARB to handle recurring subscriptions on a Drupal site to work with Drupal commerce.

 
One of the major changes we did on the new DC based payment system was to use Silent Post provided by Authorize.net to handle recurring payments and notifications.

Everything worked fine on the sandbox testing account (except for Silent post which is is a feature not provided in a sandbox account) we had been using.
 
However on the live account we had encountered an issue with the receipt not being generated and sent by Authorize.net to the customers even though our client was getting the required member payment info on their Authnet account.
 
I would like to know if using Silent Post would prevent the receipt from being generated and sent by Authorize.net.

If that is not the case can you please list possible reasons that would prevent a receipt from being generated by Authorize.net

Receipt? you mean an email? it is a merchant account settings
