Check Failed ARB payments

I'm wondering if there is a way to check how many billing cycles have failed for a customer through the API?

 

Alternatively, if the Authorize.net account is settup to suspend subscriptions that fail a certain number of times in a row, is there any way to either check to see if this has happened or see if a Silent Post was the final allowed failed transaction?

Hi shkkmo,

Our Automated Recurring Billing (ARB) Service is a system that requires manual interaction to monitor subscriptions. You can login to the Authorize.Net account and search for the subscription to see the details of failed transactions or you can check the failed ARB transaction emails that are sent out daily. There is not a way to do this programmatically.

ARB will only suspend a subscription if it failed the first time. The merchant will then need to reactivate it and enter a new start date. However, if there was already a previous successful transaction that was processed on this subscription and then it failed, that subscription will remain active regardless of how many times it fails as long as the subscription is not expired. You can check this article for possible subscription statuses.
