Government Credit Card Tax Exemptions

Can Authorize.Net recognize a particular Government credit card and exempt it from state & federal taxes during processing or does this need to be handled before it credit gets submitted?

According to the SmartPay Website "GSA SmartPay Cards may be either a VISA or a MasterCard. Visa cards will begin with 4486, 4614 or 4716. MasterCard cards will begin with 5568 or 5565".

Seems like it should be handled before the submission.

Authorize.net do NOT calculated the taxes for you. You will have to handled it yourselves.
