Line Breaks in x_footer_email_receipt (SIM)

According to page 32 of  http://www.authorize.net/content/dam/authorize/documents/merchant_guide.pdf we can use HTML <br /> in our headers and footers.

Sent in x_footer_email_receipt:

"Your trip begins Thursday, May 18, 2017. Please call us at (800) 6CANOE2 or email us at canoes@ShenandoahRiver.com if you have any questions. Enjoy your trip!<br /><br />Shenandoah River Outfitters<br />6502 South Page Valley Rd, Luray VA 22835"

Received in email message (forwarded from unknown client to my Thunderbird client):

"Your trip begins Monday, May 15, 2017. Please call us at (800) 6CANOE2 or email us at <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:canoes@ShenandoahRiver.com">canoes@ShenandoahRiver.com</a> if you have any questions. Enjoy your trip!Shenandoah River Outfitters6502 South Page Valley Rd, Luray VA 22835"

All other HTML tags from Authorize appear in the email and it formats properly. Only the HTML tags in my custom footer are stripped.

Is there a way to embed line breaks in x_footer_email_receipt (SIM)? Thank you.

That portion of the documentation seems to only be referring to headers and footers in the HTML receipt served to the browser. I'm not aware of any way to modify something similar in the email receipt with the parameters passed.

We're in the process of rolling out a new hosted payment form solution that we refer to as "Accept Hosted". That also doesn't include any parameters for modifying the header and footer in email. However, that sounds like a good future feature to include.

If you'd like, you're welcome to submit this to our Ideas forum at https://community.developer.authorize.net/t5/Ideas/idb-p/ideas so that we can track it as a possible future enhancement.
