Need to find a solution for credit card expiration field problem

Need to find a solution for credit card expiration field problem.

The shopping cart check has the credit card expiration date set to 2 boxes…it only allows 2 digits for the top box and 2 digits for the second box to be filled in for the credit card expiration date. The end user is not going to know that they need to fill in both boxes. I need to know where this field is edited with in the shopping cart script or forms.  

We cannot determine which of the following plugins is driving that field as there is no options on any of the back-ends to edit the credit card expiration field or anything to do with the credit card.

The site is running on a WordPress platform with the following payment plugins/gateways.

Authorize.net 2.0
WordPress – e-commerce plugin
X-Cart
