Quick Silent Post Question

It seems like the only way to configure a Silent Post Url is in the actual merchant account.  Is that correct?  It seems like you should be able to add something like x_silent_post_url to your actual request like you can with the relay response.  We have a whole bunch of clients, so having to configure the silent post url in each of their merchant accounts would be kind of a pain.

If this is the case, does anyone have any insight as to why?

For purely API driven transaction management, we encourage developers to read the response from the actual transaction. Whether you are using AIM, SIM, or one of other APIs, there is always a real time response at the time that you submit your request.

For reconciliation, it is recommended to use the transaction details API and not rely on Silent Post.

If not silent post, how do you specify the url to send the transaction info to?

AIM, CIM, from the response they you get when you post.

SIM, DPM can use relay response.
