I have not seen a good answer to this question. We work in a TMS system that can automate payments if customers want to use their cc. The issue is we do not know who is going to use a cc, or pay via ACH, etc. We are small enough and deal in thousands of dollar transactions so we cannot afford to eat the cc fee. This does not allow us to turn on the feature of having customer pay within the system, since it has no way of knowing to charge 3.5%. If we could set up our authorize.net account to charge this fee at time of checkout, it would solve this problem. As it is, we leave the functionality off and have to process everything manually, which will not work for us as we continue to grow. Is there any way to set up our authorize.net account to charge the processing fee when someone uses a cc? Not having this functionality is cause to continue looking for a site that does offer this feature. Please advise.
