updating a transaction with a customer order number

I am using the accept hosted option to create a transaction in auth.net.  When I create the initial request, I do not have my custom in-system order number.  I get that in my system later.  Is there any way I can update a transaction with my customer order id after the transaction is already created?

I am 99% sure there is no way to change transaction details on authorize’s end other than to update payment and refund status. So the initial transaction will have everything essentially set in stone. You could do this on your end however. I’m in the process of updating my clients backend so that everything they need is in one place. As of now they have to use the interface and my backend to process some orders. You would just want to store all of the data you need on your own dB.
