We often get questions from developers on the best way to build recurring billing solutions for their clients. Rodger Yonley of internet marketing firm Advice Interactive Group recently tackled this subject in his article “Authorize.Net’s Recurring Billing Solutions.” In the article, Rodger talks about two options provided by Authorize.Net: the Automated Recurring Billing (ARB) and Customer Information Manager (CIM) APIs. He goes on to explain the advantages of each API as well as each one’s limitations. According to Rodger, “Whether you choose to use the CIM or the ARB API is entirely dependent on what you need to accomplish.”
